Surprising no one, Microsoft and Activision announced Call of Duty: Ghosts will have the downloadable content for the upcoming FPS before any other consoles.

Like the previous Call of Duty games, the add-ons for Ghost will be coming to the Xbox One ahead of all other consoles. Whether that also means the Xbox 360 remains to be seen, but you can count on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4, as well as the PC, getting the maps and other downloadable content at least one month after the Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will run on an entirely new engine, which will introduce dogs as actual AI companions this time around. The game will feature improved visual fidelity, with improved helmet, weapon, and location graphics. There's a new leaning feature, as well as the ability to slide into cover for the first time. Interactive smoke and other dynamic features will also be a major part of the new engine.

Multiplayer will feature dynamic maps, featuring earthquakes, floods, and player activated traps. Characters will be customizable in the new multiplayer, which should make longtime players extremely happy. Most importantly, the game will still run at a crisp 60 frames per second.
