Find out more about the ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ pickup inside!

Marvel fans, our day has come! After months of speculation, ABC has finally given the greenlight to a full season of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,’ the new TV series taking a smaller scale approach to the Marvel Cinematic Universe most recently brought to life in ‘Iron Man 3.’ Even better, The Hollywood Reporter tells us the first preview of Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ will air this Sunday at 8:00 P.M., ahead of ‘Once Upon A Time‘s’ upcoming season finale!

UPDATE — Here’s the official plot description, via EW:

Clark Gregg reprises his role of Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films as he assembles a small, highly select group of Agents from the worldwide law-enforcement organization known as S.H.I.E.L.D. Together they investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary. Coulson’s team consists of Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet).

Aside from the just mentioned cast of Marvel’s ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ TV series, Nick Fury himself, Samuel L. Jackson previously stated that he expected to be involved in some small capacity, while ‘How I Met Your Mother‘ and ‘The Avengers‘ star Cobie Smulders remains open to the possibility as well.

We’ll keep you posted on the latest news, but in the meantime tell us what you want to see from the official ‘Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ series in the comments, after the new logo!
