The CW's 'Arrow' has climbed to dizzying heights on the way to its first season climax, to be continued with March 20 episode "The Huntress Returns," but that hasn't stopped the DC comics-adapted archer drama from making some major improvements for its second run. Following the recent upgrade of Emily Bett Rickards to series regular, 'Arrow' has similarly upgraded guest star Colton Haynes' Roy Harper for season 2! Find out how "Speedy" Haynes' ascension will be for 'Arrow' season 2 inside!

Good news, 'Arrow' fans! Though Colton Haynes' troubled 'Arrow' character Roy Harper has only appeared in a single episode to date, the CW drama has plenty more story to tell with the future "Speedy" for 'Arrow' season 2. Via Zap2It, we've learned that the former 'Teen Wolf' star has officially been promoted to series regular for season 2, along with fellow season 2 upgrade Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoake)!

For the moment, Haynes' Roy Harper will have a small role in March 20 episode "The Huntress Returns," while March 27 episode "Salvation" will see Harper having his first encounter with a hooded Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), and in need of rescue from new Starling City villain "The Savior."

Time will tell how far 'Arrow' plans to take Harper toward any of his DC alter egos in season 2, but what say you? Are you excited to see the 'Arrow' cast growing in season 2? Who from the DC universe would you like to see appear? Check out the latest preview for 'Arrow,' and let us know what you think in the comments!
