The CW's 'Arrow' wasn't on hand at the TCA panel to promote season 3 like 'The Flash' was, but that hasn't stopped the emerald archer from delivering some season 3 goodies in advance of the big Comic-Con 2014 panel. Find out yet another major character that will make a shocking return in season 3, how long we'll have Canary back for, and when to expect a major 'Flash' crossover event!

First and foremost, it seems season 2 fan-favorite Caity Lotz will be around for a grand total of three episodes in the new season, the second installment of which is somewhat ominously titled "Sara." But that's not all! Speaking with TVGuide, 'Arrow' executive producer Andrew Kreisberg revealed that season 1 regular Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlyn) will pop up in episode 302's Hong Kong flashback, showing how Oliver and Tommy nearly crossed paths.

There's plenty more crossover action to come in 'Arrow' season 3 as well, as episode 4 of 'The Flash' (yep, the one with Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold) will also see Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) dropping by Central City to check on Barry and his new life. It will all come to a head by episode 8, as Kriesberg teased "Episodes 8 of both shows, Arrow and Flash, are going to be a two-hour crossover event."

Elsewhere, 'Arrow' season 3 has recruited 'Superman Returns' star Brandon Routh in a major recurring role as tech magnate (and likely Felicity love interest) Ray Palmer, better known as DC's "The Atom." Not only that, but '22 Jump Street''s Peter Stormare will act as our new Vertigo, and ‘Real Steel’ star Karl Yune will play Oliver’s flashback Hong Kong handler, along with ‘Sin City‘ star Devon Aoki as comic character Katana.

We'll learn much more from the Comic-Con 2014 presences of either series next week, but in the meantime, what say you? What do you think will bring 'Arrow' and 'The Flash' together for a crossover event, and how might the figures from Oliver's past play in? Will we learn our new big bad before long? Stay tuned for the latest, and give us your 'Arrow' season 3 predictions in the comments!
