The CW's 'Arrow' has been especially generous in its season 3 reveals with the recent casting of 'Superman' franchise star Brandon Routh, but even with Comic-Con 2014 only weeks away, why wait for some fresh intel on the DC drama's eagerly-anticipated third run? Find out who Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen will be romancing, as well as hunting internationally in our first synopsis from 'Arrow' season 3!

You're warned of some minor spoilers for 'Arrow' season 3 from here on out, but it seems as if Oliver's calculated declaration of love for Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) in season 2 finale "Unthinkable" may not have been so fictitious as Oliver led her to believe. According to the first CW synopsis of 'Arrow' season 3 premiere "The Calm," Oliver won't only have to deal with Starling City's new perspective of the Arrow as a genuine hero, but also his first date with Queen Consolidated tech genius, and #TeamArrow partner Felicity!

In the aftermath of this victory, Season Three opens with Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen – not as long as the city needs The Arrow.

Ollicity fan service, a seemingly not-dead Captain Lance, and a villain reappearance, you say? Why, that sounds an awful lot like Peter Stormare's arrival as Werner Zytle, another alias of DC supervillain Count Vertigo, replacing Seth Gabel’s “The Count” as distributor of their namesake's drug. Of course, Stormare's "Vertigo" isn't the only season 3 baddie that Oliver Queen will face early on, as TVLine reveals the second episode sees Oliver hunting a killer mercenary wanted for murder in seven countries, and targeting victims associated with a specific company. Thoughts or familiarities, anyone?

In addition to the above recruits, 'Arrow' season 3 has notably added 'Superman Returns' star Brandon Routh in a major recurring role as tech magnate (and likely Felicity love interest) Ray Palmer, better known as DC's "The Atom." Not only that, but ‘Real Steel’ star Karl Yune will play Oliver’s flashback Hong Kong handler, along with ‘Sin City‘ star Devon Aoki as comic character Katana.
