'Sons of Anarchy' star Charlie Hunnam is making some tidal waves on the big screen with his leading gig in Guillermo del Toro's highly anticipated 'Pacific Rim,' where we'll see him portray a futuristic pilot manning a gigantic monster-fighting robot. A little bit more complex than the motorcycles he's used to, but so far it seems like he enjoys the del Toro approach as he's already eyeing a role in del Toro's next movie 'Crimson Peak.'

Emma Stone was the first actress reportedly circling a role in del Toro's upcoming horror story project, and Variety now reports that Charlie Hunnam may also join in on the fun. Considering that del Toro has a habit of rejoining with the same actors, most notably Hunnam's fellow 'Sons of Anarchy' star Ron Perlman ('Pacific Rim,' 'Hellboy'), this is one bit of news we can definitely see happen.

While details on 'Crimson Peak' are virtually unknown as del Toro and his script-writing partner Lucinda Coxon are rewriting the original story the director wrote with Matthew Robbins, del Toro has described the film as "a very set-oriented, classical [film] but at the same time modern take on the ghost story."

What do you think? Are you excited to see our favorite 'Sons of Anarchy' star circling this part? Do you think him and Emma Stone would make a good leading pair? Let us know what you think in the comments.
