Much of FOX’s Minority Report sequel series’ casting has lacked headline appeal, but the latest should feel familiar for the network. That ‘70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama has joined FOX’s followup to the 2002 Steven Spielberg film, but what does the actor have to do with the original movie?

Per Deadline, current From Dusk Till Dawn star Valderrama will play Detective Will Blake, a newbie filling in for Lara Vega (Meagan Good) when she takes leave, and someone Vega doesn’t particularly care for. Vega herself becomes preoccupied with Pre-Cog “Dash” (Stark Sands), who at first attempts to lead a normal life, but remains haunted by visions of the future after PreCrime’s end.

Executive produced by Spielberg, penned by Godzilla writer Max Borenstein and directed by Mark Mylod, the new iteration picks up 10 years after the fall of PreCrime, as established during the events of the film. Daniel London will reprise his role as Pre-Cog caretaker Wally, while The Following star Li Jun Li will play the role of Akeela, a CSI technician who works closely with Vega, and Laura Regan will play the role of female Pre-Cog Agatha.

Spielberg’s original Minority Report saw Tom Cruise as future PreCrime operative John Anderton, leader of a division that used the aforementioned Pre-Cogs to predict, and foil imminent future crimes. Anderton soon discovers a flaw in the system when his own name is predicted for an impending murder, beginning a race-against-the-clock plot with a cast that included the likes of True Detective star Colin Farrell, Agent Carter guest Neal McDonough, Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Max von Sydow, Samantha Morton and more.

We’re not sure what to make of FOX’s Minority Report pilot just yet, but what other recognizable names should join the series’ pilot?
