Netflix original horror series 'Hemlock Grove' has provided intriguing insight into the shelf-life of scripted dramas from the online streaming service, garnering far fewer favorable reviews and accolades than 'House of Cards' or 'Orange is the New Black.' Now, just months after the debut of its truncated second season, Netflix announces that 'Hemlock Grove' will air its final 10 episodes in 2015.

“We are so grateful to the fans of ‘Hemlock Grove’ who have championed the series so intensely over two seasons,” said executive producer Eli Roth. “We are looking forward to taking the last and final season into some dark and unexpected places, and to giving viewers the killer finale you’d come to expect from ‘Hemlock Grove.’”

Adding Charles H. (Chic) Eglee (‘The Walking Dead,’ ‘Dexter‘) as an executive producer for season 2, the second season of 'Hemlock Grove' continued the supernatural mysteries of the titular town, with a cast that included 'X-Men' star Famke Janssen (Olivia Godfrey), Bill Skarsgård (Roman Godfrey), Landon Liboiron (Peter Rumancek), Dougray Scott (Dr. Norman Godfrey), Madeleine Martin (Shelley Godfrey), 'Orange is the New Black''s Madeline Brewer (Miranda Cates), Kaniehtiio Horn (Destiny Rumancek), Joel de la Fuente (Dr. Johann Pryce) and Demore Barnes (Michael Chasseur).

We've previously heard rumblings that 'House of Cards' may also end its tenure after three seasons, raising further questions as to the longevity of Netflix series, the lukewarm reception to 'Hemlock Grove' not withstanding. What do you think? Are you glad the Eli Roth horror series has another 10 episodes to wrap up its story, after the bats--t ending of season 2? What do you hope to see from the final season of 'Hemlock Grove?'
