Casting for NBC's forthcoming Bryan Fuller-helmed 'Munsters' reboot 'Mockingbird Lane,' has certainly begun picking up steam, especially with the recent announcement that former 'Stand By Me' star Jerry O'Connell would play the family's Frankenstein monster patriarch Herman Munster.  So what about his wife, Lily Munster?  It would seem the producers have their hearts set on a certain 'True Blood' actress, but there's just one problem...

According to Deadline, 'True Blood' star Mariana Klaveno is on deck to take the role of Lily Munster, once played by Yvonne De Carlo,  in NBC's forthcoming reboot 'Mockingbird Lane.'  However, Klaveno's involvment in the ABC (likely soon to be Lifetime) pilot 'Devious Maids' may prevent Klaveno from taking the role.

Klaveno has only a minor role in the 'Devious Maids' pilot, but ABC Studios remains currently unwilling to release the actress.  A deal may be struck between NBC and ABC by the end of the day that could potentially see Klaveno securing the role in 'Mockingbird Lane' while recurring in 'Maids,' but the negotiation has already been extended and may wind up dragged out until the end of June.

Written by 'Pushing Daisies' creator Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer, 'Mockingbird Lane' updates and re-invents the '60s sitcom, a family of vampires, werewolves and other supernatural creatures, as well as their “plain” cousin (Charity Wakefield).  The series will feature striking visuals in the vein of Fuller’s past work on 'Daisies.'  In addition to Wakefield and O'Connell,  Mason Cook will play the role of young werewolf boy Eddie (Mason Cook), while UK comedian Eddie Izzard will play Grandpa Munster.
