Well, that certainly won't be a stretch. As NBC's Bryan Fuller-adapted 'Hannibal' continues casting toward its mid-season 2013 premiere, the core roster of characters around the good Dr. Lecter seems more and more intriguing. We've known for sometime that former 'The Matrix' and 'CSI' star Laurence Fishburne would take the role of FBI director Jack Crawford, but now we've learned he'll get to star opposite his own wife! Who will former 'Firefly' and current 'Suits' star Gina Torres play in the 'Hannibal' universe?

Not every man would want to go to work with his wife, but Laurence Fishburne of the upcoming 'Hannibal' seems to be brave enough to undertake the challenge. According to TVLine, the former 'CSI' will play opposite real-life spouse Gina Torres, portraying the wife of Fishburne's FBI director Jack Crawford. 'Suits' fans can rest easy, however, as the show's recent season 3 pickup means Torres will juggle both roles rather than depart the USA series.

Torres is also the latest Fuller alum to take a role on the Thomas Harris-inspired series, having previously portrayed grifter Lila Robinson in Fuller’s 'Pushing Daisies.'

To date, ‘Hannibal’ features 'SNL' alum Molly Shannon, ‘Pushing Daisies’ vet Ellen Greene, ‘Wonderfalls’ stars Chelan Simmons and Lara Jean Chorostecki as a female interpretation of ‘Red Dragon’ character Freddy Lounds, and Laurence Fishburne as Jack Crawford. Set in the early days of Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) and Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen)’s partnership, Fuller’s envisioned series is “a love story” told across at least seven seasons. He also specified the likelihood that the third or so season would cover the story of Thomas Harris’ novel ‘Red Dragon.’

What do you think? Will Torres make a good addition to the series? What are your thoughts on 'Hannibal'?
