A few weeks ago we heard the somewhat distressing news that 'Once Upon A Time' creators Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz had begun eying a spin-off series around the fan-favorite Mad Hatter character, albeit one that would likely move forward with a new actor given Sebastian Stan's commitment to 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' Producers ended up downplaying those reports, but has the spin-off decided to move forward with a new 'Wonderland' focus? And might industry vet Jane Espension be behind it?

It would be hard to imagine a 'Wonderland' spin-off of 'Once Upon A Time' without Sebastian Stan in the role of the Mad Hatter, but now it seems we may not have to. New reports from Deadline claim that 'Prison Break' alum Zack Estrin and 'Once Upon A Time' consulting producer Jane Espenson have been brought on for the proposed spin-off, which would now focus on Alice and original characters within 'Wonderland.'

The character of Alice has yet to appear on 'Once' proper, while the spin-off would feature the characters of the exotic, soulful and optimistic Amahl, and The Knave, a "sardonic adventurer, a man of action, a loner and a heart-breaker." The spin-off would take place in 'Once Upon A Time's continuity, potentially featuring flashbacks, and unfolding over a 13-episode season in between 'Once's spring and fall airings.

Well, what say you? Would you be interested in a 'Once Upon A Time' spin-off featuring Alice and original characters? Who would you most like to see in their own adventures?
