Star Wars Rebels is getting closer and closer to the Original Trilogy, and with it, another familiar face has come out of hyperspace. Meet a young Wedge Antilles in the latest Season 3 clip for this weekend’s debut!

This Saturday will see Star Wars Rebels debuting “The Antilles Extraction,” in which the Ghost crew attempts to liberate a young squad of pilots from Imperial employ. Nathan Kress will take over the role of Wedge Antilles from the original films’ Denis Lawson, while the synopsis reads below:

Sabine goes undercover as a cadet in the Empire’s elite flight academy to help break out several young pilots wanting to defect to the rebellion.

Call us crazy, but it certainly feels as if Wedge is leading Sabine into something of a trap (ten bucks at least one of the pilots will), but it’s always of interest when those classic Star Wars characters start popping up. Not to mention, last week seemed to make some pretty overt references to Darth Maul headed toward a certain planet with “twin suns.”

We’ll see for yourself this Saturday at 8:30 P.M., but check out the clip above, and stay tuned for the latest Star Wars Rebels Season 3.
