Hannibal

This bloody horror series brings everyone’s favorite cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal Lecter, to television. He’s played by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen in this prequel series loosely based on Thomas Harris’ Lecter novels. Hugh Dancy co-stars as FBI profiler Will Graham, who teams with Lecter to solve horrific cases without realizing that his new partner is a murderer as well. The show has garnered rave reviews — may critics have called it one of the very best shows on television — but through its first two seasons, it’s struggled to find an audience. Nonetheless, NBC picked up ‘Hannibal’ for a third season, which is set to debut next summer.

  • Network: NBC
  • Air Time: Fridays, 10PM ET
  • Season 3 Premiere: Summer 2015

We’ve all heard the casual moans of fan communities that Hollywood never comes up with anything original anymore, settling into the familiar patterns of sequels, remakes, and adaptations of familiar properties to cash in on brand recognition. And while remakes have become subtly accepted as a chance for a new take on dormant properties, the recent ‘RoboCop’ trailer reminded us just how much passio

The first 'Hannibal' season finale "Savoureux" certainly made it appear as if we'd be spending quite a bit of time in the Baltimore State Hospital next season, but it seems one of the staff might enjoy a temporary sabbatical. Actor Raul Esparza has officially been upgraded to series regular from his recurring role on 'Law & Order: SVU' as ADA Rafael Barba, so might we be seeing less
