Hannibal

This bloody horror series brings everyone’s favorite cannibalistic serial killer, Hannibal Lecter, to television. He’s played by Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen in this prequel series loosely based on Thomas Harris’ Lecter novels. Hugh Dancy co-stars as FBI profiler Will Graham, who teams with Lecter to solve horrific cases without realizing that his new partner is a murderer as well. The show has garnered rave reviews — may critics have called it one of the very best shows on television — but through its first two seasons, it’s struggled to find an audience. Nonetheless, NBC picked up ‘Hannibal’ for a third season, which is set to debut next summer.

  • Network: NBC
  • Air Time: Fridays, 10PM ET
  • Season 3 Premiere: Summer 2015

All this week we've attempted to allay fan concerns about the fate of NBC's Bryan Fuller-created 'Hannibal' series, whose season 2 renewal or cancellation won't arrive until some time after NBC's main upfront presentations. While the outlook remains good, we're hearing that both cable networks and the expanding Amazon have expressed an interest in picking up the series should NBC decline, so find

A few weeks ago we heard the surprising news that 'Hannibal' creator Bryan Fuller had an eye on casting glam rock icon David Bowie as Hannibal's uncle should the NBC drama be granted a second season, but it seems Fuller has far more familiar faces in mind. Should NBC decide to serve 'Hannibal' a second course, Fuller will do his best to reunite the 'Pushing Daisies' cast by bringing in actors Lee
