We're only a couple of months away from the debut of 'Kick-Ass 2,' which means it's about time for the stars of the film to begin promoting it -- Jim Carrey certainly has a original way of doing so: by denouncing the violence in the film.

Warner Bros. made a pretty dumb (or was it smart?) move to dump the Farrelly Brothers' 'Dumb and Dumber To,' but Universal has swept in to rescue the sequel from production limbo.

The latest trailer for 'Kick-Ass 2' makes the stakes pretty clear. After Kick-Ass (Aaron Johnson) killed Frank D'Amico in the first film, Frank's son Chris (Christopher Mintz-Plasse) wants revenge, and to get it he's willing and ready to transform himself into a super villain.

Warner Bros. has decided it's smart (and smarter) to ditch Bobby and Peter Farrelly's 'Dumb and Dumber 2', forcing the brothers to shop the sequel around to other studios.

It's a little weird that a movie about the dangers of doing something so long that it becomes rote and stale is, at times, incredibly rote and stale. Write what you know, I guess; 'The Incredible Burt Wonderstone' has a couple big laughs, a few small laughs, and a whole lot of going through the Hollywood mainstream comedy motions. As a movie, it's a mess; in select moments, it's occasionally hilar
