The trailer for Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters finally arrived a couple of days ago, offering our first look at the new team in action and instantly establishing Kate McKinnon as the film’s MVP. Most people seem pretty divided on the trailer, with some criticizing the lengthy first look for lacking a bit of punch. Fan edits are rarely better than the stuff they’re manipulating, but this new cut of the Ghostbusters trailer feels a little more effective than Sony’s official version.

Ever since the Ghostbusters reboot has been announced (with an all-female cast) the film has been harshly judged, sight unseen. Today, director Paul Feig has officially revealed the Ghostbusters trailer, so now we can judge the film on its own merits...

SNL took a little break through the second half of February (thankfully, the GOP race has largely filled in for itself), but will return for its March 2016 debut with Hail, Caesar! star Jonah Hill, and musical guest Future. Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters hits theaters in just five months, and while we’ve seen plenty of photos and toys based on the upcoming film, we’ve yet to see any actual footage. That sort of changes today, as Sony has released an announcement trailer featuring the first glimpse of footage (it’s quite foreboding) along with the promise of a real, honest-to-goodness trailer…in March.

A recent preview of the Ghostbusters LEGO set revealed not only the trusty ol’ Ecto-1, but an interesting new vehicle — the Ecto-2. We weren’t sure if the motorcycle would be making an appearance in the film, or if it was simply a fun bonus for the toy set. Sony has released a new image of the real Ecto-2 from the set of Paul Feig’s upcoming film, confirming that the new vehicle is indeed very much real.

Early this morning, Sony Pictures relaunched the official site for Ghostbusters, the home of the original two movies, the cartoons and the upcoming reboot. Along with the relaunch, we got five new photos from the film, each highlighting one of the main characters from the movie, including our first look at Chris Hemsworth as the new Ghostbusters secretary. Eat your heart out, Janine Melnitz!

Even as video games go, the mobile app Angry Birds is pretty conceptually thin. There are birds. They are angry, ostensibly because green pigs have constructed elaborate castles all over their bird-world, and nobody likes developers. The birds live only to slingshot themselves at high speeds into said castles, destroying them and hopefully eliminating all pigs in the process...

Star Wars: The Force Awakens has yet to slip from the box office perch two weeks into 2016, but should this weekend finally do it in, Adam Driver will remain on top. Watch the erstwhile Kylo Ren make his SNL debut in its first 2016 premiere promos, lightsabers and all!

The lack of characters like Rey and Black Widow in Star Wars and Marvel merchandising has inspired fans to start hashtags to hopefully force Disney to make more toys and action figures featuring these beloved leading ladies. While we wait for the folks at Disney to come to their senses, Paul Feig is ensuring we’ll never have to ask where any of his Ghostbusters are, as he’s revealed action figure prototypes for all four of the lead actors in his upcoming film. Yep, soon you can buy Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Melissa McCarthy action figures. What a time to be alive!
