Anyone not in attendance of SXSW has gone a good long while without fresh American Gods footage, and both Bryan Fuller and Starz are here to quench your thirst. Meet the full complement of old and new Gods, as a bloody new trailer teases a glorious war, win or lose.

It’s been some time since we had any significant updates on Bryan Fuller’s Starz adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods, and Shadow Moon is at last rising. Following word of an SXSW premiere, American Gods now sets its official Starz debut for late April, with some fresh key art to boot.

Well, we may not be able to get Benedict Cumberbatch back to Sherlock, or Hayley Atwell to Agent Carter, but the networks are at least keeping them busy. Atwell has signed on for a new Starz miniseries adaptation of Howards End, written by Manchester By the Sea scribe Kenneth Lonergan.

If ever Outlander fans had to endure drought, Season 3 might be it. Starz confirms that the next run of the breakout time-travel romance has been pushed to late summer, also bidding farewell to Scotland production in a new video teasing the next move.

Starz’s series adaptation of Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience certainly turned heads last year, and it appears the second season will do as much in two directions. Producers confirm Season 2 will follow two separate storylines, as Anna Friel, Louisa Krause and Carmen Ejogo join the cast.

Bryan Fuller is no stranger to remixing and re-imagining established canon, as we’ll soon re-learn with Starz’s long-gestating adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods. Now, a new photo reveals a fresh addition to Shadow Moon’s opposing deities, as Corbin Bernsen takes a role as the unofficial God of Guns.

Appealing as the concept of Patrick Stewart playing a debauchery-prone news anchor might have sounded, it seems Starz’s Blunt Talk has officially burned out. The network has opted not to renew the Seth MacFarlane-Jonathan Ames produced comedy beyond Season 2, completing its original order.

If anything seemed amiss about the Ash Vs. Evil Dead Season 2 finale, it might have something to do with the original pitch being completely vetoed by producer Bob Tapert. Now, departing showrunner Craig DiGregorio gets brutally candid about the original plan for Ash and Kelly, as well as a Back to the Future II-style return to the original Evil Dead.

Few would argue that Deadwood alum Ian McShane made inspired casting for Bryan Fuller’s American Gods, but things could have been much, much weirder. According to Nicolas Cage (yes, that Nicolas Cage, just for re-emphasis), Starz’s hotly-anticipated series nearly cast him as Mr. Wednesday.

You didn’t think that Ash’s battle against the Deadites would be over by Season 2, did you? Only one episode into our second year of Ash Vs. Evil Dead, and Starz is already pulling the starter cord on a third season due to arrive in 2017.
