Conflicted accounts may rule the day on Showtime's steamy marital drama 'The Affair,' but the HFPA is on board for either side. The 2015 Golden Globes have officially granted Best TV Drama to 'The Affair,' just two months after the show was granted its second season.

Showtime's 'Homeland' has been chugging along in its fourth season sans Brody (well, almost), just as critics have continually raved about adultery drama 'The Affair,' and fans of either should have a bright and sunny 2015. Showtime has officially renewed Carrie Mathison and co. to return for a fifth season next year, continuing its illicit 'Affair' for a second season as well.

For one, sexy Joshua Jackson-Maura Tierney-Dominic West drama 'The Affair' has its first trailer and premiere date, while the late Philip Seymour Hoffman's 'Happyish' comedy may see the light of day after all.

While HBO will be losing a number of major series in the coming year, Showtime's own loss of 'Dexter' and the impending 'Californication' has necessitated some new blood of its own. Enter Philip Seymour Hoffman's new dark dramedy, 'Happyish,' and 'Fringe' star Joshua Jackon's steamy new drama, 'The Affair,' both picked up to series for the near future!

Cast all the 'Fringe' stars on premium cable! Just weeks after we marveled at the news that 'Fringe' star Anna Torv would take a leading role in Ryan Murphy's HBO sexuality drama 'Open,' Torv's co-star Joshua Jackson has followed suit with a scandalous role of his own in Showtime's adult drama 'The Affair.' Throw in a Starz series for John Noble, and we've got bingo!

We've seen Showtime on a major talent kick of late, developing new dramas from the likes of Arnold Schwarzenegger and 'Dexter''s own Michael C. Hall, and its latest proves no less exciting. Former 'The Wire' and near-'Game of Thrones' star Dominic West will headline the drama pilot for 'The Affair,' but will the new marital drama prove as Emmy-winning as Showtime's other adult fare?
