‘The Flash’ and ‘Arrow’ Get Full Midseason Finale Trailers, Extended Runtime

‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ got their epic crossover out of the way just in time to confront their biggest bads in next week’s midseason finales, as Barry goes up against “The Man in the Yellow Suit,” and Oliver makes “The Climb” to confront Ra’s al Ghul. Now, The CW has released full-length trailers for both finales, expanding ‘The Flash’ finale’s runtime as well!

There’s plenty to take in by the below trailers, as Oliver seems to come up against both Malcolm Merlyn and Ra’s al Ghul (as well as his pretty glaring stunt-double), though there’s plenty of room for holiday cheer as the emerald archer celebrates Christmas, both with his family and the team. Strangely enough, things look much darker for ‘The Flash,’ as the new trailer offers an extended look at the mysterious yellow speedster at the center of Barry’s hunt for the infamous Reverse Flash.

As it that weren’t intriguing enough, The CW has announced that the December 9 ‘Flash’ finale will extend its runtime by a full two minutes! Here’s how the network describes Tuesday’s ‘Flash’ installment “The Man in the Yellow Suit,” followed by Wednesday’s ‘Arrow’ midseason finale “The Climb.”

BARRY COMES FACE-TO-FACE WITH THE MAN IN THE YELLOW SUIT/AMANDA PAYS RETURNS TO THE FLASH

Barry (Grant Gustin) finds himself face-to-face with his nemesis, the man in the yellow suit, a.k.a. Reverse Flash, who killed his mother. Barry is frustrated when the Reverse Flash escapes, but Dr. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) come up with a plan to trap him. All they need is bait, so they turn to Dr. Tina McGee (guest star Amanda Pays) from Mercury Labs to help.

Meanwhile, it’s Christmas at The West household and Iris (Candice Patton) is in full holiday cheer. Eddie (Rick Cosnett) gives her a surprising gift but also leaves her with a question that could change her life. Joe (Jesse L. Martin) joins the search for the man in yellow and ends up in the crossfire. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) finds Ronnie (Robbie Amell).

DINAH LANCE RETURNS HOME — Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is stunned when her father (Paul Blackthorne) delivers a very special Christmas gift – her mother, Dinah (guest star Alex Kingston). Thor Freudenthal directed the episode written by Jake Coburn & Keto Shimizu.
