The 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' trailer is here and besides the frequent revving of a chainsaw engine, the trailer also features a haunting, acoustic song. But what exactly is that song? Let's find out!

The song heard through the first half of the trailer is titled 'The Beast in Me' and was originally recorded by British musician Nick Lowe and was later covered by Johnny Cash. But neither of those versions are the song you hear in the trailer. Instead, this is a version recorded by rocker Mark Lanegan in 2011.

Lanegan, a former member of Queens of the Stone Age and Screaming Trees, covered the song for the 'Hangover, Part II' soundtrack. The song was originally written about addiction (something Cash and Lanegan were familiar with) but as used in the trailer, seems to hint more at film's plot, which follows a descendant of Leatherface returning to the scene of the crime from the original 1974 film.

You can listen to 'The Beast in Me' by Mark Lanegan below and watch the 'Texas Chainsaw 3D' trailer again below that.
