‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ Wins Best TV Series, Comedy at the 2014 Golden Globes
Now that's more like it! A short while after 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' star Andy Samberg took home the 2014 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series, Comedy, the show has done even better to upset the competition in winning the Best TV Series, Comedy award!
Beating out some tough competition that included 'Girls,' 'Modern Family,' 'The Big Bang Theory' and 'Parks and Recreation' (it's okay, Amy Poehler got hers), the cast of 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' all took the stage to celebrate their victory with series co-creator Dan Goor. Goor thanked co-creator Mike Schur and congratulated Samberg again, dropping shoutouts to his "nightmare" two year-old, along with FOX entertainment president Kevin Reilly.
"This is way better than saving a human life," Goor joked about his decision to stick with writing over attending medical school.
We're a bit shocked to see 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' given such recognition already, though it absolutely deserves the praise. What do you think? Did 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' deserve the award for Best TV Series, Comedy at the 2014 Golden Globes?
