It was either that, or "The CW Puts The 'Arrow' In John Barrowman," and we feel we made the right call.  In any case, it's a glorious day for fans of 'Torchwood' star John Barrowman as the British/American actor has lined his quiver for a recurring role on The CW's new superhero effort 'Arrow.'  The former Captain Jack Harness will appear in a number of episodes following the show's October 10 review, but who will the dashing star be playing against Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen?

According to the latest from Entertainment Weekly, former 'Torchwood' and 'Doctor Who' star John Barrowman has signed on for a recurring role in The CW's upcoming Green Arrow drama 'Arrow.'  Producers are shy of revealing too many details of the role, but were willing to confirm Barrowman would play a “well-dressed man” who is “as mysterious as he is wealthy," as well as "an acquaintance of the Queen family and a prominent figure in Starling City.”

There could be specific reason for the secrecy, given that 'Arrow' has already cast a number of existing DC characters to appear throughout the first season, and at least one previously teased has yet to be filled.  It's also possible that Barrowman won't be able to stick around for long, given his commitment to upcoming Shonda Rhimes period pilot 'Gilded Lilys.'

In the meantime, check out what we learned from 'Arrow' at Comic-Con 2012, and tell us if you'll watch when the series premieres on The CW October 10!
