These Channing Tatum Secrets Are Pure Magic
You know Channing Tatum. And you probably have seen him dancing in Step Up, and stripping in the Magic Mike films. Maybe you even know that Tatum did spent some time in his younger days earning extra cash as a male stripper. But did you know Tatum’s stripper name? It was “Chan Crawford.” Yup. That’s just one of the charming potato facts featured in the latest installment of You Think You Know Movies!
After moving to Miami, Tatum was discovered by a modeling scout. The young Tatum appeared in ads for Pepsi and Armani, and even had a role as a dancer in the music video for Ricky Martin’s “She Bangs.” His first major film role was in the dance film Step Up, where he starred opposite Jenna Dewan. The two fell in love and got married in 2009. Although the project has been marred by creative difficulties, Tatum is supposed to star in a film about the X-Men character Gambit in the near future. Like the famous mutant, Tatum grew up in the deep South, and his roots should serve him well in the role.
