Though originally slated to arrive in time for your holiday break, Capcom has unfortunately delayed Dead Rising 3's DLC.

Operation Broken Eagle was due to arrive on Dec. 24 for the Xbox One exclusive, but those plans have changed. In the grand tradition of delaying next-gen content to provide added polish, Capcom will be taking a few extra weeks to work on Dead Rising 3's first bit of new content.

"Adding new content to the massive open world of Los Perdidos is a major undertaking, and to ensure we provide the best possible experience for players, we are putting a few additional weeks of polish and testing into the episode before it’s released," Microsoft told Shack News. "Stay tuned for additional updates."

The DLC is now slated to arrive on Jan. 21, which isn't too long of a wait, but one those of you who were hoping to have some new Dead Rising content to enjoy on your days off will no doubt be disappointed with. Operation Broken Eagle is just the first of four planned add-ons, all of which are included in the $30 season pass. This individual episode will be available for $9.99.
