'Family Guy' is hotter than ever, especially with the recent success of creator Seth MacFarlane's first movie 'Ted' lighting up the box office like a San Diego 4th of July fireworks display. 'Family Guy' will be returning soon, and its already got one A-lister lined up.

According to EW, Johnny Depp will be making a cameo appearance as none other than Edward Scissorhands, a role he hadn't stepped into since shooting the 1990 Tim Burton film. But it didn't take long to get back into character, according to executive producer Mark Hentemann.

“When he was in the booth, he said that he felt like he hadn’t done that voice since he did it in front of the camera. He was able to snap right back into Edward Scissorhands once we pulled up a clip from the movie. He was amazing — and demonstrated extraordinary patience with all the fawning women in our office who swarmed him.”

What? Women don't fawn over Johnny Depp. That's crazy talk.

This is great news for fans of Depp's early work when he played really strange and quirky characters that didn't involve pirate ships and Orlando Bloom. 'Family Guy' will return for its 11th season on September 30, and MacFarlane's 'Ted' is currently playing at your local movie theater and is worth checking out.
