New ‘Gotham’ Promo Brings FOX’s Bat-Villains Out to Play
We haven't heard much from FOX's forthcoming Batman prequel drama 'Gotham' since the initial trailer release, but now that press screenings have earned rave reviews, the network is putting everyone's favorite Bat-villains on the front lines. Find out how Penguin, Catwoman, and new villain Fish Mooney began in a new spoilery spot for FOX's 'Gotham'!
"Looking into the eyes of a criminal, you have to ask," Ben McKenzie's Jim Gordon ponders in the new 'Gotham' promo making the rounds. "How will a little girl, a low-level thug and a businesswoman become the most dangerous villains around? Simple answer. They all got their start in this city. And it's up to us to stop them."
And for the eagle (or penguin?)-eyed among you, beware of the new pilot footage interspersed throughout the promo, as the headline printed on Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Taylor)'s newspaper gives away a key plot point from the inaugural episode of FOX's bat-drama.
FOX’s ‘Gotham’ will explore “the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the villains that made Gotham famous,” with its pilot featuring Gordon’s investigation of the murders of Thomas and Martha Wayne. The pilot was written and executive produced by Bruno Heller (‘The Mentalist’), along with Warner Bros. Television, and directed by ‘Judge Dredd’ helmer Danny Cannon.
The new DC drama also stars Sean Pertwee as Alfred Pennyworth, Camren Bicondova as Selina Kyle, Donal Logue as Gordon's partner Detective Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz as Bruce Wayne, Cory Michael Smith as Edward Nygma, Victoria Cartagena and Andrew Stewart-Jones as Renee Montoya and Crispus Allen, ‘Burn Notice‘ star Zabryna Guevara as Gordon’s GCPD boss Captain Essen, and Erin Richards as Gordon’s fiancée Barbara Kean.
We'll hear more from FOX's 'Gotham' from Comic-Con 2014, but in the meantime take a look at the villainous new promo above, and tell us what you want to see from the new Batman prequel drama in the comments!
