‘Game of Thrones’ Star Joins ‘Wolves’

Jason Momoa's time on HBO's 'Game of Thrones' may have come to an end and 'Conan the Barbarian' may not have made a dent at the box office, but he keeps on keeping on: he's set to join the cast of David Hayter's directorial debut, a werewolf-centric project called 'Wolves.'

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Hayter's script "...centers on a young man who transforms into a werewolf and finds himself on the run after the murder of his parent. He eventually arriving at a small town called Lupine Ridge that has a history of supernatural happenings." Momoa will play "the badass werewolf patriarch of the town."

Between his instantly iconic work as Khal Drogo on 'Game of Thrones' and his four seasons on 'Stargate: Atlantis,' Momoa has found plenty of success on the small screen, but has yet to have a big screen breakthrough. Still, he has plenty of potential: he's charismatic, imposing and gives one heck of a Q&A.

Hayter has been a successful screenwriter for over a decade now (his credits include the first two 'X-Men' movies and 'Watchmen'), but this is his first time stepping behind the camera on a feature production. Filming starts next month.
