Britney Spears and Fox are hot and heavy! On the heels of an official confirmation that the former Mrs. Federline will be on a judge on 'X Factor's' second season comes news that 'Glee' will pay tribute to Britney for the second time, this fall.

The move is an attempt to create even more synergy between 'Glee' and its 'X Factor' results show lead-in on Thursday nights. According to EW, which broke the news, the episode will be the second of 'Glee's' fourth season and will feature eight of Britney's hits.

However, unlike the first tribute, the episode won't be centered around Glee's own Brittany, played by Heather Morris. Though she isn't set to at the moment, the show's producers are hoping Spears will appear in the episode.

Though she may not be the most celebrated performer to get the 'Glee' treatment, the first Spears-centric episode is one of the show's highest rated. If the "Slave to You" singer can work the same magic on Simon Cowell's revamped 'X Factor,' Spears might just be the best thing to happen to Fox since 'The Simpsons.' OK, maybe not.
