Harley Quinn isn’t the only Batman villain to make their presence known in Gotham’s Season 3 finale, as the biggest Bat-baddie of all is upon us. No, not the Clown Prince of Crime, but rather Bruce Wayne’s twisted teacher Ra’s al Ghul, as a new finale featurette reveals Alexander Siddig in the role.

At long last, the new featurette finally offers a good look at the League of Shadows’ head, as he attempts to supplant Alfred as Bruce’s father figure. Worth noting; the scene appears to feature Gotham’s take on a Lazarus Pit, while Siddig’s Ra’s deliberately mentions having no “heir.” So much for Talia, and Nyssa, I guess?

In the meantime, here’s the synopsis for Monday’s two-part closer:

DESTINY AWAITS ON THE ALL-NEW, SPECIAL TWO-HOUR SEASON FINALE OF “GOTHAM” MONDAY JUNE 5, ON FOX

With the deadly virus spreading throughout the city, the search for the antidote continues, as Fish Mooney (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith), The Riddler and Penguin reveal plans of their own. Bruce meets Ra’s Al Ghul (guest star Alexander Siddig) and completes his last task in order to fulfill his destiny, but realizes he can’t let go of his past. Meanwhile, Gordon tries to win back Lee, and past alliances within Gotham City are broken, while new alliances are formed in the all-new, special two-hour “Heroes Rise: Destiny Calling/ Heroes Rise: Heavydirtysoul” season finale episode of GOTHAM.

Gotham is officially renewed for Season 4, but with Ra’s al Ghul already in the mix, is Bruce beginning that final descent into capes and cowls? Stay tuned for more from the finale next week.
