Alternate 'Hannibal' Finale Take Reveals the Almost-Kiss

The release of Hannibal Season 3 on Blu-ray has served a banquet unto itself, between revelations of who cooked that finale leg, and our own full interview with Bryan Fuller, but one particular aspect of the finale has had fans salivating for months. See the alternate take of Hannibal’s big finale cliffhanger that nearly saw Will and our beloved Dr. Lecter locking lips!

You’re warned of light spoilers for all three seasons of Hannibal from here on out, but where previously we’d heard that alternate takes of the big “Wrath of the Lamb” plunge saw Hugh Dancy and Mads Mikkelsen taking their bloody embrace just a few shades farther, Entertainment Weekly actually obtained the footage, along with commentary from cast and crew:

As if that weren’t tasty enough, Hannibal has also revealed that two digital renditions of the Season 3 soundtrack will make their way online for purchase on December 11. That will also include the original track “Love Crime,” an original collaboration between Bryan Fuller and Siouxsie Sioux of Siouxsie and the Banshees.
