Last year saw IFC assembling a ridiculous collection of stars for the Funny or Die-produced Spoils of Babylon, and already the sequel is shaping up even bigger. Following Boardwalk Empire star Michael K. Williams’ cast as lead, The Spoils Before Dying has added new and returning stars the likes of Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Haley Joel Osment and more.

Per the network’s official announcement, Emmy-nominated Wiig will return alongside SNL alum Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Tim Meadows and Chris Parnell, as well as Haley Joel Osment, Michael Sheen, Val Kilmer, Steve Tom, Emily Ratajkowski, Andrew Daly, Chris Mulkey, Chin Han, Marc Evan Jackson, Jack Kilmer, Patty Guggenheim and Bérénice Marlohe.

Executive producer Will Ferrell will also reprise his role as storyteller Eric Jonrosh, bookending the tale of Michael Kenneth Williams’ Rock Banyon, a struggling jazz pianist at the center of this pulp-noir murder mystery. Here’s how IFC officially describes the series, once again produced with Anchorman helmer Adam McKay:

Set in 1962 during the height of the Los Angeles jazz scene, The Spoils Before Dying follows Rock (Michael Kenneth Williams) as he becomes the prime suspect in the double murder of singer and his occasional lover Fresno Foxglove (Maya Rudolph) who is found dead in a car with another man. Panicked, Rock splits town for Mexico where he reunites with his one-time big band singer Delores O’Dell (Kristen Wiig). Determined to prove his innocence and avoid the electric chair, Rock and Delores head back to the U.S. on a dangerous journey for the elusive truth. All the while, Rock’s hard charging manager Alistair St. Barnaby (Haley Joel Osment) obliviously pressures Rock to record a mainstream jazz album.

Fun as The Spoils of Babylon proved, will The Spoils Before Dying bring that same spark? Who else might join the cast of IFC’s next soap opera opus?
