Last week, 20th Century Fox teased the first footage from Kingsman: The Golden Circle via ten glorious seconds of accelerated action. There were gunfights, and Julianne Moore making burgers (I think), and plenty more blink-and-you’ll-miss-it looks as the exciting new world of Matthew Vaughn’s film. So, secure in the knowledge that studios never release trailer teases without the trailer following shortly thereafter, we all gathered around our computers the following day and waited for our first look at the highly anticipated sequel. And waited. Aaaaaaand waited.

Now, five days later, Fox (via ComingSoon.net) has finally given us an update. No, it’s not the full trailer itself, but this time we can actually watch the darn thing without having to set our YouTube settings to 0.25 playback. That’s a step in the right direction as far as we’re concerned.

While we loved the dapper spy technology of the original film, the sequel’s American setting  —  which plays up the western theme pretty hard in this trailer, featuring Pedro Pascal’s Indiana Jones impression and Channing Tatum’s Brokeback Mountain outfit — seems to provide the perfect backdrop for Vaughan and company to poke fun at the history of both American and English action movies. If Kingsman: The Golden Circle does for westerns what the original movie did for James Bond films, it could prove to be another fresh spin on the action genre. Here’s hoping all our answers will be revealed when they (finally) give us the first full trailer tomorrow.

Here’s the full synopsis for Kingsman: The Golden Circle:

In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, our heroes face a new challenge. When their headquarters are destroyed and the world is held hostage, their journey leads them to the discovery of an allied spy organization in the US called Statesman, dating back to the day they were both founded. In a new adventure that tests their agents’ strength and wits to the limit, these two elite secret organizations band together to defeat a ruthless common enemy, in order to save the world, something that’s becoming a bit of a habit for Eggsy…

The much-anticipated Kingsman sequel will return Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong, as well as newcomers Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, and the aforementioned Moore, Pascal and Tatum. The film will hit theaters on September 29, 2017.
