Great news for fans of gleefully over-the-top spy thrillers and irresistibly delicious brown spirits: Statesman, the official Kingsman: The Golden Circle whiskey, is now available (h/t SlashFilm). Named after the front company for the American spy agency featured in the film, the 95-proof bourbon is made by Old Forester. Splendid!

Here’s the description:

Inspired by the dynamic characters in the upcoming film, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Old Forester Statesman offers bold flavor blended to a smooth 95 proof from hand-selected casks of our famed Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey from the warmest places in the warehouse. Because true character is only revealed after a little heat, the Statesman product offers an exceptional balance of heat and spice.

If reading that is making you as thirsty as we are, you can take a crack at preparing a Statesman Old Fashioned:

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz Old Forester Statesman Bourbon
  • 0.25 oz Ancho Chile Liqueur
  • 0.25 oz maple syrup
  • 2 droppers tobacco bitters
  • lemon peel, garnish

Stir with ice, strain into double old fashioned glass with fresh ice. Garnish with wide lemon peel, oils expressed over the cocktail.

The London-based tailor shop from the first film gets blown up real good from what we saw in the trailer. Hence the trip across the Atlantic, where Eggsy and friends visit their American cousins. And in America, naturally, everyone drinks bourbon. (And wears cowboy hats and hurls lassos and fires six-shooters, etc., because we’re all cowboys.)

Directed once again by Matthew Vaughn, The Golden Circle adds Channing Tatum (as Agent Whiskey, which is just perfect), Pedro Pascal (Agent Tequila, ditto), Jeff Bridges (Agent Champagne, same), Halle Berry and Julianne Moore to its already impeccable cast of Brits including, Colin Firth, Taron Edgerton, Mark Strong and… Elton John? Yup, Elton John. It says so right there on the new international poster:
