Just when we thought Showtime's 'Master of Sex' season 2 had scored its most impressive casting to date in comedian Sarah Silverman, the buzzworthy breakout period drama has added three more names to an already-stuffed roster. Joining Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan for the second coming of 'Masters of Sex' will be 'Smash' star Christian Borle, 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' favorite Rene Auberjoinois, and 'Flash Forward' star Courtney B. Vance.

The Tony award-winning Borle will recur in the second season as Frank Masters, brother to Sheen's William, while Auberjoinois will play Dr. Papanikolaou, inventor of the Pap smear. Vance, meanwhile will recur as Dr. Hendricks, the head of a St. Louis African-American hospital with the goal of racially integrating his hospital.

Previously, ‘Masters of Sex’ season 2 added comedian Sarah Silverman as Betty’s ex-lover Helen, along with ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ star Keke Palmer in the recurring role of the Masters’ new nanny, and ‘American Horror Story: Coven‘ star Danny Huston as Dr. Douglas Greathouse, the privileged head of a hospital’s Obstetrics Department. Despite airing with the most recent season of ‘Homeland‘ last year, ‘Masters of Sex’ moves to summer for its second season, partnering with fellow sophomore series ‘Ray Donovan‘ for a July 13 premiere.

We've included the most recent 'Masters of Sex' season 2 trailer above, but what do you think? Will the new Showtime season get the recognition it deserves?
