‘Masters of Sex’ Swings Into Season 4 With First Trailer, September Premiere
It isn’t exactly scientific to suggest that Showtime’s Masters of Sex has fallen on some harder times after its revered first season, but harder still times seem in store by the first Season 4 trailer. Michael Sheen’s Dr. Masters has his very own sadness beard in the first official sneak peek, heralding both a September Season 4 premiere and the advent of a swinging ‘70s vibe.
Showtime released the first official trailer for Masters of Sex Season 4, now set for a Sunday, September 11 premiere at 10:00 P.M., albeit without its usual fall companion Homeland. This time around, time seemingly jumps even further, as a depressed Dr. Masters (Sheen) and Virginia (Lizzy Caplan) reluctantly get the practice back together. Did we mention all the swinging? We should probably mention the swinging.
In addition to the stylish new poster, check out the official “Freefall” premiere synopsis:
In the wake of their fallout, Masters and Johnson search for purpose in a world without one another and look to work as their personal lives crash down around them. Libby finds herself alone for the first time since her marriage and discovers some unexpected allies.
Guest stars this season will include Niecy Nash and David Walton, but check out the full teaser above, and stay tuned for the September 11 premiere.
