'Parks and Recreation' season 5 has earned itself some major genre cred over the last couple of weeks, casting both the warrior princess herself, Lucy Lawless, as a love interest for Ron Swanson, and yesterday 'Breaking Bad's' Jonathan Banks, but not every guest spot can be so well known to us geeks. If 'Parks and Recreation' had such enthusiasm in casting Banks for the part of Ben's father, who could possibly fill the role of his mother?

'Parks and Recreation' fans, meet the one woman who could tame Mike Ehrmantraut. Following the news that Jonathan Banks would grizzle his way into the six episode of 'Parks and Recreation's' fifth season, TVGuide has announced that 'ER' and 'Mr. Holland's Opus' star Glenne Headly will take the role of Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott)'s mother Julia.

Appearing along with her estranged husband Steve (Banks) in the sixth episode of the season "Ben's Parents," Headley's character is said to be "a warm and charming woman who appreciates art and literature," though her temper and temperament toward Leslie quickly sours when Ben's father shows up with his younger girlfriend. Hey, anyone who doesn't cower in Jonathan Banks' presence is formidable enough in their own right.

In addition to Banks, Headly joins an impressive year that includes ‘Delocated’ star Jon Glaser as a new nemesis for Leslie Knope, Lucy Lawless as a new love interest for Ron Swanson, as well as guest turns from U.S. Senators Barbara Boxer (California), Olympia Snowe (Maine) and even Arizona senator/former presidential candidate John McCain. It was also recently announced that occasional ‘Parks’ guest-star and current ‘House of Lies’ lead Ben Schwartz would reprise his role as hipster “Jean-Ralphio” for at least one episode.

What say you? Will meeting Ben's parents sour the relationship between him and Leslie Knope? Will Glenne Headly take full measures against her husband? Tell us what you hope to see from 'Parks and Recreation' season 5 in the comments!
