‘SNL’ Sets James Franco, Martin Freeman and Amy Adams as December Hosts
‘SNL‘ scored a major win this past weekend with ‘The Hunger Games’ star Woody Harrelson‘s return hosting gig, and we’re keeping positive for Cameron Diaz this coming Saturday, but what of the final 2014 slots? Get ready for ‘SNL’ December, with James Franco, Martin Freeman and Amy Adams all taking turns as host! Also, Nicki Minaj and One Direction. If that’s your thing.
Franco will take the December 6th hosting slot in promotion of North Korea parody ‘The Interview,’ this time joined by Nicki Minaj as musical guest. Freeman meanwhile, will make his ‘SNL’ hosting debut the following week on December 13, promoting ‘The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies,’ as accompanied by ‘SNL’ newcomers Charli XCX. Finally, Adams will promote Tim Burton‘s ‘Big Eyes‘ (if not ‘Batman vs. Superman‘) on December 20, joined by One Direction as musical guest.
Franco had previously hosted ‘SNL’ in 2008 and 2009, joined by Kings of Leon and Muse, respectively, while Adams hosted earlier in 2008, the season affected by the Writers’ Strike. There, Adams was joined by Vampire Weekend.
Well, what do we think? Does ‘SNL’'s December lineup round out the first half of the 40th anniversary season? Who do you want to see take the stage before the big special next year?
