This past weekend's 'SNL' with Bill Hader proved the best of the season so far (despite garnering an all-time low in ratings, ouch), but the laughs might get a little dumber toward the end of October. Jim Carrey has been confirmed to return to 'SNL' for a third hosting gig alongside musical guest Iggy Azalea, while this past weekend's show has spit out a new deleted sketch with Bill Hader.

This past weekend's 'SNL' confirmed Carrey hosting the October 25 installment in promotion of 'Dumb and Dumber To,' adding Azalea's name into the mix. Carrey had previously hosted in 1996 with musical guest Soundgarden, and again in 2011 with The Black Keys.

Additionally, NBC has released one of the deleted Bill Hader sketches from the weekend, ostensibly for Hader cracking up at its content. The sketch featured Hader as a gossipy coal miner, but like with the polarizing "Californians," the comedian could only get so far into the dress rehearsal without losing it over the simpler gags.

You can check out Hader's deleted sketch below, and tell us what you think of the new season thus far! Was Hader's the best episode yet, or will Carrey win the title with his October 25 return?
