SNL Takes on ‘Homeland’

When you win Best Drama at the Emmy's and become one of the most talked about shows on the air, you're literally inviting people to make fun of you. It was only a matter of time before 'Homeland' got parodied on Saturday Night Live.

The sketch's most direct target is Carrie Mathison, played by Claire Danes on the actual show and performed by guest host Anne Hathaway here. While the rest of the cast is played pretty straight, Hathaway's Mathison is a complete emotional wreck, quite literally have an emotional breakdown prior to interrogating a terror suspect and wildly pining after Nicholas Brody, even posting insane drawings of them on her trusty cork board. 'Homeland' fans will undoubtedly love seeing the show parodied, but even non-fans can appreciate just how nutty and strange Hathaway gets here.
