As tends to be the case with 'Sons of Anarchy' over the first five seasons on FX, fans will remember that a large can of worms was opened around Donal Logue's character of retired U.S. Marshal Lee Toric. Enraged by the death of his sister at Otto (series creator Kurt Sutter)'s hands, Toric swore revenge on those responsible, though the action of season 5 left little time to explore the thread. Now, FX confirms that Donal Logue will return, providing some major menace for 'Sons of Anarchy' season 6!

'Sons of Anarchy' both literally and figuratively lives and dies by its enemies, one of the deadliest of which was introduced this past season in Donal Logue's grieving U.S. Marshal Lee Toric. The character's revenge against Otto and the newly-incarcerated Tara (Maggie Siff) had to be put on the back burner, but now Deadline confirms the character will return for season 6, likely to premiere on FX this fall.

Reportedly Sutter and Logue had spent years bandying about the possibility of the former 'Terriers' star appearing on the series, but never got around to it until the past season. Logue's initial contract signed him for 10 episodes, two of which were included in the season 5 arc that saw Lee Toric menacingly introducing himself to both Otto and Tara separately.

Prior to his appearance, Logue's sister Karina portrayed a nurse that Otto killed as part of a plot to dismantle a RICO case against the Sons, which turned out to be Toric's sister. Less certain for season 6 is the involvement of Jimmy Smits’ Nero Padilla and Billy Brown’s August Marks, for whom Sutter certainly left the door open, but while acknowledging that both actors have otherwise busy schedules.

Well, what say you? Are you excited to see that Donal Logue will return as a major villain for 'Sons of Anarchy' season 6 this fall? Where would you like to see SAMCRO's story go next?
