Rob Reiner's classic rock mockumentary This is Spinal Tap is the only movie on IMDb that is rated on a scale of 1-11, the fictional level Spinal Tap sets their amps to. Besides being completely hilarious for just fans of movies, This is Spinal Tap has a lot of fans in the rock and metal industry as well. Metallica's eponymous album was officially titled Metallica, but with an all-black cover, was designed and nicknamed The Black Album after Spinal Tap's fictional Smell the Glove album, which was also released with an all-black cover (“How much more black could this be? And the answer is ‘None. None more black.’”). Original Guns N’ Roses guitarist Slash is also a big fan of the film, but said the first time he watched This is Spinal Tap, it was right before a show and it hit so close to home it completely ruined his night.
