Meet the ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Supporting Characters, Creatures and Droids
By now, we know all about Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren. OK, we don’t really know much about them at all, but in the highly secretive world of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we at least know who they are. While you’ll see a lot of them in the trailers, commercials and posters, we want to focus on some of the lesser-known Star Wars characters, creatures and droids that will be introduced in The Force Awakens; this generation’s version of Bossk or Greedo. These are all the supporting characters that everyone will be buzzing about on December 18.
Using various screencaps, toy boxes and photos we’ve tracked down some of these characters you may not have seen much of yet, and then dug up as much information as we could (including sometimes, from unlisted bios on StarWars.com). We’ll continue to add to this (there were plenty of characters we could find absolutely no info on, so we left them out for the time being) as we approach The Force Awakens, and if there are any characters you want to see us track down, let us know in the comments below.
Sarco Plank
A scavenger and trader who scours frontier worlds for riches, Sarco Plank must wear a specialized mask that keeps his native atmosphere circulating through his alien lungs.
Ello Asty
Ello Asty is a skilled if occasionally reckless X-wing starfighter pilot for the Resistance.
B-U4D (Buford)
Tough and hard-working, B-U4D is part of the ground crew that keeps the Resistance starfighters fueled and combat-ready.
Unkar Plutt
The strong-armed bullies (above) who work for junk dealer Unkar Plutt help keep his scavenging business running on the remote, lawless world of Jakku.
PZ-4CO (Peazy-Fourseeo)
PZ-4CO is a constant fixture in Resistance base control rooms, offering tactical data and communications support during important operations.
Goos Toowers
Goos Toowers is part of the tireless technical crew that provides mechanical support to the Resistance’s fleet of starfighters.
Constable Zuvio
A vigilant law officer on a mostly lawless world, the tough and humorless Constable Zuvio keeps order in a frontier trading post.
Teedo
Teedo is a small, brutish scavenger that roams Jakku’s vast wasteland on his semi-mechanical Luggabeast.
ME-8D9
Known as Emmie by the unallied scoundrels on Takodana, ME-8D9 is a protocol droid that is often called upon to translate less-than-legal deals.
Bobbajo
A trader/merchant on Jakku, Bobbajo keeps a crate full of various creatures and animals in a cage on his back.
Happabore
A large, pig-like creature used for transportation and patrol on Jakku.
Crimson Corsair
Also known as Captain Ithano, the Crimson Corsair will be the subject of the upcoming short story, “The Crimson Corsair and the Lost Treasure of Count Dooku”. The plot is as follows: “Every pirate in the sector is after the lost treasure of Count Dooku! Will Captain Ithano and his crew beat his rivals to the prize?”
Tasu Leech

Luggabeast
Beasts of burden found on frontier worlds, Luggabeasts are semi-mechanical creatures with faces forever hidden behind heavy armor plating.
Bazine Netal
There are plenty of mercenaries, spies, and guns for hire in the galaxy, but probably none as dangerous and determined as Bazine Netal. A master of disguise—and lethal with a blade, a blaster, or bare handed—she learned from the best.
Jessika Pava
A human female who flew as a X-wing fighter pilot for the Resistance under the callsign of Blue Three. (Played by Jessica Henwick in Star Wars: The Force Awakens)
