Besides the 2013 Super Bowl, the real excitement last night may have been what was under a dome of a different kind (or not under it, depending on your understanding of electricity), but CBS certainly didn't waste the opportunity to at least get the phrase 'Under the Dome' out there. Full casting has yet to be completed and filming has yet to begin, but CBS started early getting the word out on its summer Stephen King series 'Under the Dome' with a first-look teaser that premiered during the Super Bowl. Check out our first new look at the buzz-worthy mystery series inside!

CBS' forthcoming 'Under the Dome' adaptation may have only undergone preliminary casting, and hasn't shot a single frame of film, but that isn't stopping CBS from getting the hype out early. The network premiered a brief teaser for its buzzing summer drama last night during the 2013 Super Bowl, also unveiling a new website where fans can see what their own homes look like 'Under the Dome.'

Written by ‘LOST’s’ Brian K. Vaughan and original ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’ helmer Niels Arden Oplev directing, ‘Under the Dome’ follows the book of the same name's story of a small New England town that finds itself inexplicably encased in a transparent dome with no hope of penetration. Inside, the residents of the town battle increasingly apocalyptic conditions as they struggle to understand what’s happened to them.

So far, the cast of the Stephen King adaptation includes Colin Ford ('Supernatural'), Natalie Martinez, Alex Koch, Britt Robertson, Nicholas Strong and Jolene Purdy. CBS has tentatively set a premiere date of Monday, June 24 for the series.
