Supergirl has almost built its own universe faster than the world around it, and now the CBS drama will flesh out one of its mythology’s most recognizable assets. Check out Supergirl’s Superman-free take on the Fortress of Solitude, coinciding with the arrival of another past Supergirl, Laura Vandervoort.

CBS released the first official photo from February 29 installment “Solitude,” parceling out another bit of classic Superman mythology to help Kara defeat DC’s Indigo, as portrayed by Smallville‘s own Supergirl Laura Vandervoort. See for yourself, along with the official synopsis:

Kara travels to Superman’s Fortress of Solitude in hopes of learning how to defeat Indigo (Laura Vandervoort), a dangerous being who can transport via the Internet and who has a connection to Kara’s past. Also, James’s relationship with Lucy reaches a crossroads.

Of course, this won’t be the first time Supergirl hangs around “The Big Guy”s past without a visit from the man himself, but at least Kara will meet another famous face from the Justice League in March.

In the meantime, Supergirl will sit this coming Monday out, returning on the 22 with “Truth, Justice and the American Way.”
