Danny McBride and Jody Hill’s HBO Vice Principals may have gone too soon, but we won’t wait long for the next chapter. A new interview sees McBride teasing that their next HBO series might film as early as this year, completing their “misunderstood angry man trilogy.”

Just over a week ago, Amazon fervently denied reports that its three-year HBO deal would expire in May, removing access to all-time HBO greats like The Wire or Six Feet Under. The confusion was attributed to technical error, but reports now confirm the deal will actually expire in 2018.

Now that any HBO viewer can buy their own streaming package outside a cable subscription, one had to wonder what would become of Amazon Prime’s old deal to host some of the network’s best shows. Sadly, you may have only weeks to catch some of HBO’s best series like The Wire or Six Feet Under, which are leaving Amazon behind.

The names Danny McBride, Walton Goggins, and the minds behind Eastbound & Down were more than enough to sell us on the new HBO comedy Vice Principals, but the first trailer really puts it over the mark. See for yourself in the new footage, along with a first poster and a July premiere.
