More than a dozen new Game Gear games will be coming to the 3DS' Virtual Console very soon. Nintendo ran down the list of upcoming titles during its latest Nintendo Direct event.

Do you like mini-games? Do you like Wario? Then chances are that you're pretty pumped for the upcoming Wii U title, Game & Wario. Luckily for you, today's Nintendo Direct offered a peek at some of the new mini-games that will test your reflexes and maybe even cause you to spew obscenities at both your friends and your console.

Continuing the "proud" tradition of Mario and Sonic Olympic games, Nintendo announced Mario and Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics during Friday's Nintendo Direct.

The Nintendo Direct has let loose with new information about the upcoming Wii U game, Pikmin 3. Olimar won't be returning (he's presumably training up for the new Super Smash Bros. title), but we'll be getting three new heroes instead.

Nintendo and Sega announced a new exclusive partnership during Friday's Nintendo Direct event, which, among other things, will see the upcoming Sonic: Lost Word game released exclusively on the Wii U and 3DS later this year.

Good news Zelda fans; The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons will appear in the Nintendo eShop very soon, giving both fans old and new the chance to experience a dual adventure on their handheld system. But the pot gets sweeter (assuming that Link doesn't break it), since Nintendo has announced that the games will be discounted upon release.

Though Friday's Nintendo Direct wasn't filled with a lot of big announcements, president Satoru Iwata did share the release date for Platinum Games' Wonderful 101. Wii U fans will be able to enjoy the super-hero action game on September 15th.

During the week of E3 2013, Best Buy will have exclusive playable demos of games Nintendo announces and shows at the convention for fans to enjoy.
