The day that The Elder Scrolls Online launches can't come soon enough for us. But luckily, ZeniMax Online Studios keeps on releasing new videos and info about the game for us to drool over.

An update on the official Elder Scrolls Online site discusses the creation of one of the most annoying creatures in the series' long history: the scamp. Scamps are tiny little Daedra that resemble imps with furry legs.

One of the goals for the team was to change the scamp so that it had a bigger personality. They also wanted to capture the creature's agility, which is augmented by its small stature.

The post goes on to explain that even though the world in ESO is a serious one, scamps are a source of humor. For example, they have melodramatic death animations that should elicit a chuckle or two from players. They also have their own languages that they speak with funny-sounding gibberish. Though they're strange, quirky little creatures, players should always be mindful of their ability to claw and launch fireballs.

Watch the trailer above and let us know what you think of the little scamp. Watch out for The Elder Scrolls Online when it debuts in Spring 2014 for the PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Mac.
