Shinji Mikami's upcoming horror game, The Evil Within, is sure to be fraught with thrills and all kinds of scares. A video that was leaked today features a prologue that sets up Detective Sebastian Castellanos' adventure.

The video was shot on camera at Quakecon 2013 and was posted to the EvilWithin.net forums. From what we can discern from the video, Castellano is called to a crime scene at a large building. As soon as the good detective and his crew enter through the large iron gates at the front of the estate, you can feel this overwhelming sense of foreboding.

There are a number of police cars outside of the manor, all of them empty and missing their weapons. Most peculiar is the fact that there is no blood or any shell casings to be found around the grounds. Once inside the building, the crew searches for survivors and then witness a grisly scene on the security monitors as a seemingly supernatural figure teleports around, killing cops. Creepily, this figure notices Sebastian watching through the camera and comes after him.

After blacking out, Sebastian wakes up, hanging upside-down from the ceiling. Thus begins his horror-filled adventures in The Evil Within.

The Evil Within is set for release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in 2014.
