Let's not beat around the bush: 'The Monuments Men' looks terrific and we'll be completely and totally shocked if it's not one of the year's most talked-about films come Oscar time. Then again, we'd expect nothing less than a historical dramatic comedy directed by George Clooney starring the likes of Matt Damon, John Goodman, Bill Murray, Bob Balaban, Jean Dujardin and Cate Blanchett. The first official poster has arrived, making it pretty clear that this insanely good cast will be the major selling point going forward.

Based on a true story, 'The Monuments Men' follows a special team of art historians and curators as they're sent overseas during the tail end of World War II to help track down and protect the priceless artwork that Hitler's regime has stolen. Naturally, art majors aren't the kind of people you send into a war zone, so all kinds of misadventures pursue. This may be the only time we get to see actors like Goodman, Murray and Balaban wear army uniforms and trudge across battlefields. How great is that?

We were completely sold by the trailer, so there's nothing this new poster, which debuted on Yahoo Movies, can do to diminish our interest. 'The Monuments Men' opens on December 18, 2013, and we have high hopes.
