In the tradition of ScreenCrush series like You Think You Know Movies and You Think You Know TV comes a new YouTube series: Top Five! Every two weeks (or so; we’ve got a lot of other stuff going on), ScreenCrush editor and critic Matt Singer will count down a particular topic from the world of movies (and probably write these introductory posts in the third person).

Disney is one of the most beloved movie studios on the planet, and with good cause; the company has delighted generations of children with their films, television shows, and theme parks. But every once in a while, a moment (or just a couple of frames!) in a Disney movie catches your eye and makes you go “Did I really see that?” On the latest episode of Top Five, we rank some of the craziest things that have ever snuck their way into Disney movies, from a strange message in the sky in The Lion King to a shocking splice in the background of The Rescuers.

Top Five is a ScreenCrush original series that ranks all kinds of cool stuff from the world of movies. This is our 19th episode, so check out some of our past episodes below. Plus, we want your feedback, so be sure to let us know what Top Fives you want to see in future episodes! And don’t forget to subscribe to the ScreenCrush YouTube channel below to catch all our future episodes. Until next time remember: Sometimes the dust in the background of a cartoon is just dust. And sometimes it actually is a message trying to tell you something.
